 The Chief of the Governmental Affairs Bureau supervises the investigation and prosecution of public servants who commit crimes in the scope of their official duties. Unlike the other bureau chiefs who report to my First Assistant, this Chief reports directly to me. |

Joe Owmby, Police Integrity Division
 The Police Integrity Division investigates law enforcement officers who are alleged to have committed crimes on duty. Anytime a local or federal law enforcement officer shoots or seriously injures a civilian, one or more of our Police Integrity staff conducts a parallel and independent investigation of the incident. Every one of these cases is taken to the grand jury for review. We are the only state agency responsible for policing the police. |
Donna Goode, Public Integrity Division
 The Public Integrity Division investigates and prosecutes public officials who commit crimes in their capacity as public servants. Currently members are involved in the prosecution of a number of individuals who allegedly took funds from the North Forest Independent School District. |
