Alan Curry , Appellate Division Chief
When defendants appeal their convictions, the Appellate Division briefs and, if necessary, argues the appeals before Texas Appellate Courts. Last year this division was successful in over 97% of the cases they briefed which not only a tribute to them but to our trial prosecutors. |
Roe Wilson, Post Conviction Writs
Post Conviction Writs handles habeas corpus writs in state courts and assists the state Attorney General, if necessary, in federal writs that grow out of Harris County cases. The Chief of this division has been nationally recognized for her work in this area of law.

Roger Haseman , Environmental Crimes
Environmental Crimes prosecutes companies and individuals who pollute the Harris County environment. This small unit is more active in Harris County than the state Environmental Quality Commission is for the entire state.

Scott Durfee , General Litigation Chief
The General Litigation Division represents this office and employees in state and federal courts. They are also the contact for lawyers who have civil cases that have arisen out of criminal prosecutions or seek open records requests from this office.

Carl Hobbs, Welfare Fraud Chief
Welfare Fraud actively prosecutes individuals who illegally collect welfare funds. |
