 The
Professional Development Bureau Chief oversees the
continuing education of our lawyers and supervises the
Misdemeanor Division.

Marc Brown, Misdemeanor Division
 There
are fifteen County Criminal Courts at Law that hear class A
and B misdemeanors. Last year over 56,000 cases were filed
in these courts. In addition, the Misdemeanor Division
staffs the criminal dockets for the county’s sixteen Justice
of the Peace courts. The "JP" courts had nearly a half
million citations in 2003.
