This office is organized into six bureaus: the Felony Trial Bureau, the Professional Development Bureau, the Public Service Bureau, the Special Crimes Bureau, the Legal Services Bureau and the Governmental Affairs Bureau.

The Public Services Bureau Chief supervises our Intake Division, Grand Jury Division, Child Abuse Division, Family Criminal Law Division and Check Fraud Division. More
Ted Wilson, Professional Development
The Professional Development Bureau Chief oversees the continuing education of our lawyers and supervises the Misdemeanor Division and Juvenile Division.

Don Smyth, Governmental Affairs
The Chief of the Governmental Affairs Bureau supervises the investigation and prosecution of public servants who commit crimes in the scope of their official duties. Unlike the other bureau chiefs who report to my First Assistant, this Chief reports directly to me. More
Lyn McClellan, Felony Trial
The Felony Trial Bureau Chief supervises the staff for the twenty-two criminal district courts in Harris County, our Victim Witness Program and the Bond Forfeiture Division. More
Kelly Siegler, Special Crimes
The Special Crimes Bureau Chief supervises units that coordinate police activity, investigate financial crimes and forfeit assets seized by law enforcement. More
Bill Delmore, Legal Services
The Legal Services Bureau Chief supervises the Appellate Division, Post Conviction Writs Division, General Litigation Division, Environment Crimes and Welfare Fraud Divisions. More
Division Chiefs
Lester Blizzard, Major Fraud
The major Fraud Division is charged with prosecuting large scale and/or complex economic crimes. We typically prosecute embezzlement, mortgage fraud, Medicaid/Medicare fraud, identity theft, and related matters.
John Boone, Check Fraud
Our Check Fraud Division prosecutes theft by check and issuance of bad check cases. Last year they collected over $1.6 million in restitution for victims of check fraud.
 Kathy Braddock, Bond Forfeiture
The Bond Forfeiture Division collected over $5.3 million for Harris County’s general fund.
 Marc Brown, Misdemeanor
EThere are fifteen County Criminal Courts at Law that hear class A and B misdemeanors. Last year over 56,000 cases were filed in these courts. In addition, the Misdemeanor Division staffs the criminal dockets for the county’s sixteen JP courts.
Alan Curry, Appellate
When defendants appeal their convictions, the Appellate Division briefs and, if necessary, argues the appeals before Texas Appellate Courts. Last year this division was successful in over 97% of the cases they briefed.
 Luci Davidson, Felony Division 'A'
Division 'A' consists of the 174th, 176th, 177th, 178th, 179th, and the 180th District Courts.
Scott Durfee, General Litigation
The General Litigation Division represents this office and employees in state and federal courts. They are also the contact for lawyers who have civil cases that have arisen out of criminal prosecutions or seek open records requests from this office.
Donna Goode, Public Integrity
The Public Integrity Division investigates and prosecutes public officials who commit crimes in their capacity as public servants.
Craig Goodhart, Felony Division 'E'
Division 'E' consists of the 337th, 338th, 339th, and the 351st District Courts.
Roberto Gutierrez, Grand Jury Division
The Grand Jury Division’s lawyers present felony cases to the grand juries that have been empanelled by district court judges. Grand jury terms last three months and five grand juries sit in each term.
Roger Haseman , Environmental Crimes
Environmental Crimes prosecutes companies and individuals who pollute the Harris County environment. This small unit is more active in Harris County than the state Environmental Quality Commission is for the entire state.
Bill Hawkins, Juvenile
Our Juvenile Division staffs the three Juvenile District Courts. Those courts hear cases filed against children from ten to sixteen years of age and had in excess of 13,000 petitions (both newly opened or reopened petitions).
Carl Hobbs, Welfare Fraud
Welfare Fraud actively prosecutes individuals who illegally collect welfare funds.
Maria McAnulty, Felony Division 'C'
Division 'C' consists of the 228th, 230th, 232nd, 248th, 262nd, and the 263rd District Courts.
Karen Morris, Asset Forfeiture
The Asset Forfeiture Division does the legal work to forfeit the property and cash that has been seized by law enforcement agencies. Last year they were able to forfeit nearly $4.8 million in assets. All of this money is used to fund law enforcement efforts.
Denise Nassar, Felony Division 'B'
Division 'B' consists of the 182nd, 183rd, 184th, 185th, 208th, and the 209th District Courts.
Denise Oncken, Child Abuse
The Child Abuse Division handles a large number of the physical and sexual abuse cases that occur in Harris County.
Joe Owmby, Police Integrity
This Division investigates law enforcement officers who are alleged to have committed crimes on duty. Anytime a local or federal law enforcement officer shoots or seriously injures a civilian, one or more of our Police Integrity staff conducts a parallel and independent investigation of the incident.
Lynne Parsons, District Attorney Intake
The Intake Division operates around the clock every day of the year and reviews requests for charges from the police officers in this county. At least three lawyers are on duty at any time of the day or night to assist the police in answering legal questions and filing charges.
Dan Rizzo, Felony Division 'D'
Division 'D' consists of the 337th, 338th, 339th, and the 351st District Courts
Amy Smith, Victim Witness
The Victim Witness Division was created in 1977 to serve as a communication link between crime victims and the assistant district attorneys, by offering specialized assistance to crime victims and witnesses throughout the court process.
Russell Turbeville, Consumer Fraud
Our Consumer Fraud Division also does investigations and prosecutions of companies who defraud victims. It is not unusual for these cases to have hundreds of victims.
Jane Waters, Family Criminal Law
The Family Criminal Law Division is staffed with attorneys caseworkers and investigators that review allegations of criminal spousal abuse. Lawyers also file protective orders for victims against their perpetrators.
Roe Wilson, Writs
Post Conviction Writs handles habeas corpus writs in state courts and assists the state Attorney General, if necessary, in federal writs that grow out of Harris County cases. The Chief of this division has been nationally recognized for her work in this area of law.
Vic Wisner, Major Offenders
The Major Offender Division assists police in ongoing investigations dealing primarily with violent crime. Those assigned to the division authorize the filing of criminal charges, as well as prepare search warrants, arrest warrants and numerous court orders.
